Solid natural hardwood box. This box was inspired by the spalted beech that forms the lid - as a sailor it seemed to have the appearance of an old chart with various islands and a hint of the mainland.

Hand finished with wax polish to give a very tactile feel and lustre. The lid pivots on inserts made from brass rod and tube for longevity and smooth movement. The box and tray are lined in a dark brown leather - the underside of both are lined also in cream leather.

Can be used to house jewellery, keepsakes, personal items. Comes with tray.
