- The idea for this piece came from a restaurant in Paris in the Montmartre where a number of old gramophones were used a feature pieces.
- The body is made from Spalted Beech and the horn and the record from Birch. The only metal used is a small bar of brass and a stylus needle.
- The drawer case is 6” tall and the mouth of the horn has a diameter of 15”. The drawer case has three drawers and two secret compartments.
- All of the internal surfaces of the drawer case are lined in dark blue paper embossed as faux alligator skin. This has been lacquered to protect the surfaces. The undersides of the drawers are lined in a similar way. The drawers are lined in blue suede.
- The gramophone is finished with a very durable lacquer.
