He works in solid and
veneered woods to access the widest range of this wonderful
natural material. The website contains a number of
galleries - the "
Hardwood boxes
" gallery shows boxes made from a wide
range of materials; the "
Scottish boxes
" gallery displays examples
of boxes made almost entirely from Scottish hardwoods that
are sourced
locally mainly in Fife; the "
Chart boxes & trays
" gallery
reflects Digby's love of sailing translated into box or tray
form inlaid with charts of Scotland; the "
Bespoke
Furniture
" gallery displays examples of his furniture
pieces.
He always has a number of boxes
available but is happy to make to commission - anything from a
variant of a standard box to a completely bespoke design. It is
likely that he will also be making an item of bespoke furniture,
often under commission.
The boxes have many uses -
jewellery, christening, collection, games e.g. bridge, keepsake, presentation
etc... They can be a gift for someone special or simply a treat
for yourself. Digby's furniture pieces are designed to be
"one-offs" with unique features. They best suit clients who want
something different or who have a specific requirement (spatial,
style, function etc).
