As a keen sailor I found it interesting to translate a marine chart onto the lid of a hardwood box and having done I intend to experiment more in this area and would be pleased to make bespoke boxes of clients' favourite area. This approach might also appeal to climbers, walkers etc , anyone who enjoys such outdoor activities. I was asked to make a drinks tray with an inlaid chart of Scottish waters and I now make these routinely.
