• Striking Burr Elm combined with bespoke inlays and a French polish finish to produce a stunning jewellery box. Shown in “Furniture & Cabinet-making” magazine.
  • Stringing made from Goncalo Alves and fitted to all edges and joined with double-mitres at each corner.
  • Banding made from Maple and dyed Sycamore and inlaid on top of the lid and front face. Further inlay motifs handmade using dyed Sycamore (blue and green), shaped and inlaid at banding corners together with Mother-of-Pearl dot highlights. Fine black and white banding on side and rear faces.
  • Escutcheon handmade from matching dyed Sycamore – 27 layer lamination – and shaped to complement motif inlays.
  • All hardware in brass – hinges and lock.
  • Tray in figured Sapele. Maple motifs inlaid in lippings to mirror those inlaid in banding.
  • Tray and box lined with leather – cream with Moroccan grain.
  • High quality finish using French polish.
